Originally built by GM Canada and later rebuilt by Clyde Engineering in Australia, these locomotives are proven heavy-duty units suitable for freight, shunting, works train, infrastructure and maintenance applications.
Powered by a GM 12-645 diesel engine, the locomotives are rated at approximately 1,118–1,230 kW and use an A1A-A1A wheel configuration with four powered axles.
With a locomotive weight of approximately 82 tonnes, continuous tractive effort of 140 kN and a maximum speed of 100 km/h, these units provide a robust platform for a wide range of rail operations.
