20 x Daewoo Phosphate Hopper Wagons with Self-Steering Bogies

20 phosphate hopper wagons are available for sale, designed for bulk mineral transport and fitted with self-steering bogies, pneumatically operated self-discharging doors and air brake equipment.

The wagons have a 42-tonne load capacity and are fitted with Scheffel self-steering bogies. The self-steering bogie arrangement is designed to improve wheelset alignment through curves and assist in reducing wheel and rail wear.

The supplied wagon drawing specifies an approximate tare weight of 20.2 tonnes, UIC-type air braking with hand brake, Alliance No. 2 couplers, rubber draft gear and Timken Type AP axle bearings. A minimum curve radius of 80 metres is also specified.

These wagons are suited to bulk material transport and heavy-duty railway operations.
